316 marine grade stainless steel deck screws - the highest corrosion resistance of any common fastener material. This is the grade for salt spray and coastal air, tidal or brackish water, pool and spa decks where chlorine is in play, and anything sitting permanently in or over water. Our 304 grade may discolor over time, but will never corrode or stain on your deck either, and it costs less. Where salt and chlorine never let up, 316 is simply the better screw.
Built for floating docks, jetties, boardwalks and seaside decking. The threadless upper shank pulls boards down tight and stops jacking, holding firmly in timber and composite decking alike, and works as an exterior wood screw for fencing, pergolas and outdoor furniture.
At 2-1/2″ this is the general-purpose length for decking boards, fence rails and outdoor furniture in coastal conditions.

"This is the 1st time I’ve used Eagle Claw SS 316 screws. They are great to use. 1st I did check to see if they were 316 by using a magnet. Magnet does not work. They go in extremely fast on pressure treated pine decking! They look good and I feel they will last for years!"

I have been using these
"I have been using these screws for years on the coast of NC. I have never had any problems except for a few snap offs every now and then when attaching new decking to older (denser) seasoned wood. You might want to predrill some. They don't strip, as long as your bit isn't too worn out, lol. They are true 316 grade, not coated. Keep in mind the 2. 5 inch big box is a 1500 count, same as 3 inch. It is not a 25 pound big box 2000 count. I love that they are US based, and made in Taiwan, NOT CHINA! I can't wait big boxes of 2 inch and 1. 5 inch for fence, and plywood application!"
